School Lunch Menu and Free School Meals

For children in Nursery, Years 3-6 payment is required in advance via parent pay. Meals are priced at £2.25 for Nursery pupils and £2.45 for Years  3-6. There will a price increase from 1st November 2025 to £2.35 for Nursery pupils and £2.55 for years 3-6. Universal infant free school meals (UIFSM) provide funding for schools to offer free school meals to pupils in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2. 

If your child is eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) in Bradford, there are several helpful benefits you can expect beyond just the meals themselves. Here's a breakdown of what that support typically includes:

You may qualify if you receive certain benefits, such as:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Universal Credit (with household income under £7,400/year after tax)
  • Child Tax Credit (without Working Tax Credit and income under £16,190)
  • Support under the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Pension Credit (guaranteed element)

  • Two Free School Jumpers per Year Provided via a voucher from the school -great for easing uniform costs

Holiday Food Programme

Bradford Council is again working with a range of community groups across the district this half-term to support disadvantaged families with holiday hunger.

Many of these organisations provide support over the holidays. They have excellent relationships with their communities. Families can contact  01274 431000 to access to district-wide support.
